Jalapeno Grits with Elote

This recipe comes together in no time. Great dish for a pot luck!

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Heat 3 quart saute pan over medium-high heat. Add milk and cream.
  • When liquid starts to simmer, slowly whisk in polenta.
  • Turn down heat to medium low. Stir in jalapenos and green chiles.
  • Stir slowly with a wooden spatula about 10 to 15 minutes until thickened.
  • NOTE:  you may need to add a little time depending if you use stone ground cornmeal.
  • Take off of heat, stir in butter.
  • S&P, Elote seasoning. Add a little more cream to thin if desired.*
  •  Garnish with cilantro.
  • Serve and enjoy!
