Mom’s Chili – Southwesternized

Mom’s Chili – Southwesternized!

Growing up in Indiana, my Mom’s chili was a favorite among family and friends. Of course, when I got to Texas, my exposure to Texas flavors inspired me to “Southwesternize” (is that even a word?) the recipe. It’s still a favorite today for family and friends!

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Over medium heat, in a large Dutch oven, saute onion and ground turkey until turkey is cooked through.
  • Add ingredients through jalapeno.
  • Reduce heat, cover and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add remaining ingredients.
  • Stir and heat through another few minutes.
  • Top with fresh cilantro if desired.
  • Serve.
